About Katrina

I received a Bachelors of Science degree in Cognitive Behavioral Management from the University of Massachusetts in 1977.

I am a  Kripalu Licensed Yoga Therapist, QiGong Therapist, a Licensed Bikram Teacher and a member of IYTA, International Yoga Teachers Association. I am also licensed as a Chi Qong Therapist by the Oriental Culture Therapy under Master Mimg Jie Wu.

In 1996, California, I was able to do small group training with Bikram himself, with attention to modifications.

All classes provide an excellent opportunity to simply enjoy your practice in a pure Bikram environment, to learn at your own pace.

Why me? Because safety & individualized attention are becoming less and less emphasized in many yoga classes, with athletic classes becoming the industry norm. I am here to serve your variety of musculoskeletal injuries, biomechanical limitations, and your special needs. Ultimately you will learn the tools. I am a relatable, empathetic, expertly skilled, and confident in both of us.

Semi-privates, privates are available upon request. Happy & healthier New Year. Please do feel comfortable to call and chat with any question you may have.

Testimonials

- Laura W.

I started taking Bikram yoga with Katrina back in 2019 at Bikram Yoga South Shore. At the time, I really didn’t think I could handle the heat, but now I actually crave it. Katrina has created such a warm, supportive space where it feels safe to learn, grow, and show up just as you are.

She teaches in a really clear, straightforward way, and she always gives great tips on how to modify poses if you're working with injuries or limitations. I have scoliosis, so balancing can be a challenge for me, but Katrina has helped me find ways to make the poses work for my body.

One unexpected thing that happened early on is that I’d been dealing with Rosacea for years, and a few months after starting Katrina’s class, it completely cleared up. It’s been over 6 years now, and it hasn’t come back.

But honestly, what I love most is how I feel in her class. It’s a chance to step away from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with myself. I feel supported, in both body and spirit, and I always leave feeling refreshed. I’m so grateful for the clean, bright space Katrina has created and the truly nurturing way she teaches.

Thank you for all you do!

- Carmel

I began my Bikram practice in 2007, practicing on and off over the next 11 years. Something clicked into place when I first met Katrina at her studio in 2018. Ever since then, I have been consistent in my practice.

Katrina gets to know everyone in the studio as an individual. She determines their unique needs and understands how to best serve them within their practice. Everyone is met with holistic care; Katrina nurtures the spiritual, emotional, and physical development of all that enter her studio.

Faced with recent health challenges, I discovered the immense healing properties of Bikram as Katrina teaches it. My recovery was accelerated beyond doctors’ expectations. Katrina was so accommodating.
