What you can expect
We are so happy that you've decided to start...and we guarantee that a regular Bikram Yoga practice will change your life in the most wonderful ways. If you're feeling nervous - that's no problem...many people feel that way initially. Bikram designed this class for Beginners...just know that with a little practice and experience, you'll feel right at home. Bikram Yoga is for everyone...Come to class, and with the guidance of your teacher just try your best...you will get 100% of the benefits of the yoga.
And don't think you have to get in shape before coming to your first class...just take your 1st class...then make a commitment to yourself to come as often as possible...you'll lose weight if needed, get in great shape and feel terrific.
You will feel challenged by the yoga during class...everyone does! Just work to your edge, but listen to your body and its wisdom. As a beginner, stop when you need...and don't be afraid to sit down. It's normal. Nobody is going to look at you or judge you during class. Your teacher will guide you and instruct you with respect. There will be no need to be self conscious. The students will all be focusing on themselves. They'll be working too hard to even notice you!

- Classes are 90 minutes in length
- Be prepared to work hard and sweat
- The room is hot by intention
- Wear comfortable clothes
- Bring a large towel, washcloth, water, and sticky mat
- For pregnant students, postures are modified within the regular class
- First time students should arrive 10 minutes early
- Preteens who have been attending class may attend any Adult Class with or without their parents
